The images are produce so that a series of progressive images can be linked together to make an animated fractal.

The Mandelbrot Set

Sequential

The sequential lines of Mandelbrot Set The Sequential lines are drawn by taking a value from the line and the other value is determined by the distance from the real axis and putting the values into the [algorithm] and then colour coordinate according to the result.

The Bristor Set

layers through the Bristor set

Sequential

Cross sections through the Bristor set
The Sequential planes are drawn by taking a coordinates from the grid as well as the layer position and putting these values into the [algorithm] and then colouring the coordinate according to the result.
Cross sectional islands though the Bristor setThe islands are drawn in the same way as the 3D model with the sea being drawn at sequential levels. This gives the view of an island at high and low tides.

The 4D Bristor Set

Sequential

Cross sections through the 4D Bristor setThe sequential images are [ray traced] in the same manner as the [3D shape], with each image determined by its position along the 4th Dimension. The image appears to evolve rapidly, then becomes the [3D Bristor Set] at the origin, then decays in a similar yet different pattern to its growth. The [sequential planes] make the middle cross sections to this set.
